Something strange happened and I ended up in Cannes hobnobbing with the film industry. I was really a hanger-on and felt like one of the crew who arrive in Miami Basel for all the parties but have nothing to do with art. But it was quite fun floating amongst the stars and glamour.
I went to the charity event amfAR which is headed up by Leo Decaprio and Simone de Pury who once again wielded the power with his hammer. He raised a humungous amount of funds for the charity.
There was a wonderful Jean Prouvé filling station in the grounds of the Cap d'Antibes. The most amazing piece of architecture in front of the beautiful blue Mediterranean.
Then the impressive 6m high 'Temple' by Damien Hirst.
