Summer 2016
Whilst we were in Finland in July, we opened up Keith Tyson's 'Large Field Array' to our neighbours. 200 of them came through to see it and they loved it.
Summer 2016
Their curiosity was boundless. A Finnish audience is a great audience: they are hungry for knowledge and new experiences.
Summer 2016
I spent most of my summer trying to avoid art but as I entered August, I could feel the familiar pull of a greater force! In a month where I spent most of my time in balmy Ibiza, I ended up visiting the good old USA three times for various reasons. How can you avoid the inevitable?? Ibiza was wonderful and I had the honour of visiting Heather Harmon at Guy Laliberte's home. Guy was the founder of Cirque Du Soleil and there were surprises in every corner of their magnificent property from Ai Wei Wei...

The organic approach to this sculpture garden and the recurring tree motif worked really well and included Jenny Holzer's engraved boulders as well as Ugo Rondinone's strong bronze tree.
Summer 2016
Talking of Jenny Holzer, at Art Projects Ibiza, which Heather runs with Natasha Garcia, there was a wonderful exhibition called 'Are You Alive?'
Summer 2016
An incredibly ambitious show.
Summer 2016
And so wonderful to see so many dynamic works by a single artist under one roof.
Summer 2016
In the streets we felt very at home, where Jeppe Hein's works could be found sprawled over Ibiza town.
Summer 2016
We tested them all!
Summer 2016
There was even time to test out Rachel Maclean's Daata Editions videos on the Ushuaia Hotel in Ibiza. We're so proud that Rachel will be representing Scotland at the next Venice Biennale.
Summer 2016
And back in Finland in September we had over 700 visitors checking out the artworks around Sarvisalo on our open weekend. These young boys were having fun testing our Jeppe Heins.
