William and Kate may be causing a stir when they come down the Mall but the ICA certainly put up some tough competition.
Alison Myners hit it off again - this time as chair of ICA - there were cushions, bicycles and lamps to acquire with many lucky people walking away with a winner. Tiffany acquired a fab lamp, a little risky, by Jack Strange.
Conclusion.... An adult version of a children’s party! Sublime!

Two weeks roll into one - The NSPCC bash in the Whitehall Banqueting Suites was utterly magnificent. With the panache of Harry Blaine as chairman they managed to hit it off.
Everyone was dressed really surreal.
Gossip columns were picking up on gossip but I got the real scoop!
Then the Whitechapel Art + Drama event followed closely on its heels, with theatrical and dramatic events taking over the whole building.
I did also manage to check out some art as well as party all week...

I headed off to Julian Schnabel studio where he made me immortal, we met on holiday and he had asked if I would sit for him and I was happy to oblige. It was an incredible experience as he worked away and listened to music at the same time and also answered my unending questions but did not seem to mind. The canvas was full of broken crockery and glass and then suddenly it was transformed, Julian had miraculously captured my true spirit. I was in awe of the painter. In my heart of hearts he is a true master.

The next morning back at 1500 was again incredibly successful. Many came to visit us. I was very happy and overwhelmed the response was very positive which was most encouraging as we were not trying in any way to be pretentious and just wanted to talk about the now...

The Armory was quite overwhelming. As far as art fairs go I found the experience quite intense. So many booths crammed into one space and the aisles compared to Frieze were much narrower. The last straw was when I nearly found myself sprawled over an Ivan Navarro sculpture - caught in the depths of its eternal pit. This whole undignified experience caught me off guard and after this I scarperred to my home comforts.
So this is Part 1 of my Armury experience (Hope I make it to part 2)

Before heading off to New York for our first show there: Six Weeks in New York and the action packed Armory Arts Week I made sure to visit Hauser and Wirth. Iwan threw a wonderful dinner to celebrate the collaboration between Tracey and Louis Bourgeois. Tracey looked beautiful.
