Families Create Special: Virtually Christmas
Adam James, The Mudhead Family, workshop still, 2013.

About

In the build up to Christmas, you can work together to construct fictional characters, make fun costumes and improvise Yuletide story lines. This fantasy world will then be brought to life in the Virtually Christmas Grand Finale with the children having the chance to play the interactive drama live in the gallery on SATURDAY 19TH DECEMBER, 2-5pm.

Join artist Adam James this autumn at our weekly Families Create workshop. Influenced by Live Action Role Play (LARP) James has devised an opportunity for children and grown-ups to create a weird and wonderful alternative Christmas celebration inspired by our current exhibitions. Come and build a merry world filled with imaginary creatures, extraordinary quests and jolly adventures, using immersive play, story-telling, cardboard and sticky back plastic!

This FREE family workshop runs every Saturday, drop in anytime over the coming weeks between 2-5pm. No experience necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for children aged five and above.
