Anri Sala named as winner of The Vincent Award 2014

Congratulations to Anri Sala on winning The Vincent Award 2014. The chosen winner of the €50,000 prize was announced on Friday 21 November at a ceremony held at the Gemeentemuseum, The Hague. The prestigious European award honours a mid-career artist whose work is considered signigificent to the development of contemporary art. Alongside Sala, this year's shortlist of nominees included Pierre Huyghe, Manfred Pernice, Willem de Rooij, and Gillian Wearing. The winner was selected by a jury of art world experts that included Zabludowicz Collection founder Anita Zabludowicz.

The Vincent Award exhibition featuring work by all nominated artists will remain on display at the Gemeentemuseum, The Hague, until 1 February 2015. For further information please see The Vincent Award website.
