We are delighted to learn that previous Invites artist Rachel Pimm has been nominated for this year's Dazed Emerging Artist Award alongside Jonathan Trayte, Lawrence Lek, Tamsin Snow & Sarah Tynan, and Patrick Cole. Pimm's multidisciplinary practice explores conflicting notions of the natural and the artificial, and the relationship between ecology and commerce. For the Dazed Emerging Artist Award she plans to create an installation about the manufacture of rubber tree clones entitled India Rubber.

All nominated artists will feature in the Dazed Emerging Artist Award exhibition at the Royal Academy between 18 April and 17 May 2015. The winner be selected by a panel of judges that includes Tim Marlow, Director of Artistic Programmes at the Royal Academy, gallerist Javier Peres, artists José Parlá and Steven Claydon, Director of Glasgow International, Sarah McCrory and Dazed's Visual Arts Editor Francesca Gavin. The chosen winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize.
