Keith Tyson, Large Field Array
This sold out book, soon to be reprinted in its second edition, not only documents this epic work but also celebrates its first complete installation. Acquired by the Zabludowicz Collection when it was still in production, LFA had never been shown in its entirety before. This work is the magnum opus of Tyson’s vital and intriguing practice and to mark this occasion, we commissioned a new generation of critics and art writers to respond to the Array: Aindrea Emelife, Isobel Harbison, Nicola Oxley and Nicolas de Oliveira, Ana Teixeira Pinto and Timotheus Vermeulen were each commissioned to write a short reaction to the work and its themes. Creating a small compendium of subjective interpretations, these texts, alongside a specially commissioned interview between Keith Tyson and Tim Marlow, highlight the unique approach to art practice forged by Tyson over the past 25 years.
