Reading List: Zabludowicz Collection: 20 Years
We are delighted to bring you free and exclusive downloadable excerpts from our publication Zabludowicz Collection: 20 Years, produced to coincide with our 2015 exhibition highlighting crucial works from over two decades of collecting contemporary art. Profiling practices linked by an attitude of material and conceptual experimentation, it highlights the diversity within the Collection and the energy that defines the process of collecting.
These texts respond to the exhibition by examining the rise of the concept of ‘emerging’ art, how artists develop and sustain their practices, and how a collection assembles an image of its own past.
The publication contains specially commissioned essays by critic JJ Charlesworth, independent writer and curator Ellen Mara De Wachter and cultural historian Timotheus Vermeulen, alongside an interview between Anita Zabludowicz and Gregor Muir.
