Invites Artist’s Presentation: Josefine Reisch
PS: I Love U is a musical reading by Josefine Reisch and Nora Hansen, appropriating love-songs and love-letters from the past 200 years. Linked by only Josefine and Nora's shared appreciation, the script amalgamates the most private writings of their idols. Merging these personal correspondence on a time and space-less stage, the protagonists enter a dialog on love, life and friendship.
Previously performed at KIT - Kunst im Tunnel Düsseldorf in 2016 and at Hans Arp Museum Rolandseck earlier this year, the collaborators present a third interpretation of PS: I Love U on the occasion of Reisch’s exhibition Celetoids. Embracing ideas of Brecht’s epic theatre, Paul Luckraft, Josefine Reisch and Nora Hansen perform the reading, which features thoughts by Gluck, Nesta Obermeier, Rihanna, James Joyce, Nora Barnacle, Whitney Houston, Bertolt Brecht, Octavia Butler, Beyoncé Knowles, Virginia Woolf, Napoleon Bonaparte, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Radclyffe Hall, Oscar Wilde, Tina Turner & Eros Ramazotti, SIA & David Guetta and Toni Braxton.
