Frances Drayson presents an exhibition titled Second Rotation, featuring an installation of new sculptural columns and a site-specific wall drawing. Her work explores notions of production, communion and control, specifically in response to forms and traditions such as Baroque sculpture, church architecture, industrial farming and European folklore. Using tactics of repetition, revelation and restraint Drayson asks questions about the limits to which dissent is possible from the comfort of the rigid structures we inhabit.

Frances Drayson (b. Middlesex 1986, lives and works in London) completed a postgraduate diploma in Fine Art at Royal Academy Schools, London in 2019, and holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Recent solo exhibitions include Lathe of Heaven, Lily Brooke, London (2019) and Merry Widows, White Cubicle, London (2018). She has participated in numerous group exhibitions including A Land of Incomparable Beauty, Collective Ending, London (2020); Image Rave, Mode Festival, London (2019); 1+1=3 [in the bubble], Museion, Bolzano, Italy (2018); No Place To Spit, SET, London (2017) and The Hive Mind, Koppel Project, London (2017).
