Work by Albert Oehlen and Jon Rafman showing in Electronic Superhighway at Whitechapel Gallery
Albert Oehlen, Deathoknocko, 2001

A major new survey exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery, London, has been supported by the loan of several artworks from the Zabludowicz Collection. Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966) will provide a comprehensive look at how computer technology and the Internet have shaped art over the last 50 years. Albert Oehlen's Deathoknocko, 2001, which sees the painter's diverse techniques turn to digital printing and image-creation software, will feature alongside work by a new generation of painters including Celia Hempton. Several works by our Annual Commission 2015 artist Jon Rafman have also been loaned for the exhibition, including examples from the New Age Demanded series recently shown in his major solo exhibition at Zabludowicz Collection.

Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966) opens 29 January and continues until 15 May 2016. Further information is available from the Whitechapel Gallery website.
