About

Samara Golden attempts to channel the overwhelming nature of experience through art she describes as 'emotional spaces'. These spaces, often sprawling installations which take over entire rooms, suggest TV or movie sets. Broken components, enigmatic objects and subliminal messages, adds in sensations of a fractured environment or disturbed psychological interior. From their conception to their final presentation, Golden allows the installations to shift and change with her own moods. Aspects of the work act as frozen moments, registering the artist's feelings at a particular time. From the initial surprise of their encounter, the audience is invited to spend time allowing these fluctuating tones to emerge.
