I don’t know how I got through May - trying to function between having flu and my back going twice whilst travelling to multiple countries - I was wiped out. So here we go - a little bit of this and that and I am still standing! It has been a bittersweet time, as well as being wiped out I was also swept of my feet as we agreed to hold a solo sale from the collection. After almost 35 years it has been heart wrenching but also invigorating to think that some of these works that I painstakingly chose will go to other great collections. After all I am only a custodian of these works cannot take them with me to heaven.
It was goodbye to Antony Gormley. How can I fit him in a new home when he did not even fit into the doors of Christies? So we said goodbye to our lovely stick man who guarded our house and kept it safe. There he was with Jim Lambie, Dan Colen, Ilana Fattal, Kevin Beasly and Rachel Kneebone. Where will he go now?
Then the works arrive at Christie's to be scrutinized and stored. It was so amazing to see all of Yoshitomo Nara’s dogs out of their crates. Even I never saw them in this form

Meanwhile in the office I am proud to see Dr. Eva Dichand has launched Crack-A-Jack, The Art Magazine
Tif Zab is in the magazine and at the same time she is giving a talk in Christie's in New York called ‘The Future of Female Collectors’ with her young collector friends Sarah Harrelson, Sophia Cohen, and Victoria Rogers
Then off we go with my Tate friends to visit Jack Kirkland at his private collection. Behind us are his new friends the llamas
They are incredible creatures and Gregor has a little go at feeding them
A few drops of rain does not hurt anyone as we admire the Richard Long sculpture
Then one of the best days I ever had in London when I visited the Chelsea Flower Show. The flowers and weather were glorious. We admire the wonderful garden designed by Tom Stuart-Smith which will be transported to the Tate Britain Forecourt and it will be magnificent
After all that I still made time to drop into the opening of Grace Weaver's new works at Galerie Max Hetzler lovely show and dinner with good friends
