Back at the fair and it is always a treat to see Paul Pfeiffer’s and reiterations of Justin Bieber

Art Basel is always full of wonderful moments – one was coming across Yinka Shonibare’s Spaceman at Goodman Gallery
At Barbara Weiss I spotted a magnificent Walter Price ‘Foxes vs Wolves’

Ciprian Muresan drawing was intense
At Miguel Abreu Gallery was a new and interesting work by Eileen Quinlan ‘Survivor Moon (Takeover)’

I also liked the breathing in and breathing out sculptures by Tanis Pìrez Córdova at Art:Concept
At Sprueth Magers, new bronzes Anne Imhof which were quite lovely. I wonder where these will go? Full blown figurative sculptures next?
Arjan Martins at Gentil Carioca was lovely to come across
At The Approach had an interesting work by John Maclean
Also was a wonderful painting by Oliver Bak “The Bloomer” - this was the one that got away
Lizzie and I were fascinated by Song Huai Kuei from Bank
At Gio Marconi was another fun painting by Alex Da Corte “Popeye Light switch’
The work of Hedda Roman at Sies and Höke was quite magical. ‘Rogue Planet’
It was a pleasure to see this perfect vessel from 1982 by Magdalene Odundo Thomas Dane Gallery
Highlight of the day was – of course… the famous sausage in the courtyard
At the end of a hard day we came across the Rubell family taking some respite
At the Beyeler was a magnificent outdoor installation by the wonderful Philip Parreno
There were so many bizarre juxtapositions of art works
I loved the work of Duane Hanson painting a wallpaper by Stingel :)
