Straight to my friend Yolana and Petri who gave at the ICA the most lavish Finnish Midsummer party.

With my delightful lil’ sis Yana giving the toast.

Royal College of Art MFA degree show was full of fascinating variations. Julia Hayes’ work I thought was tongue in cheek.

However I ended up acquiring the work of Lucy Tomlins I thought she had hit all the spots.

Talking of the Olympics the Legacy List is hotting up for the Olympics. Great article about us in Spears’. Our new offices in Westfield have the best view overlooking the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. I spot the glamorous rainy shoppers heading towards the next bargain.

Then it was time to head towards the Chelsea School of Art BA show which was incredibly strong. I was so impressed and felt quite a few of the students were showing potential if they stick to what they are doing and don’t make any right hand turns. Rafal Zajko’s work was fabulous and consuming would love to see his performance.
Back in London
Daniel Gumbrell’s painting I found interesting.
Back in London
Dorte Kloppenborg Skrumsager was blobby and fun.

Hannah Josephine Collins was picking up all the right vibes and wish her the confidence to continue in the same direction.

Then to straighten me out, in the evening I head to Victoria Miro Gallery and hear a wonderful talk by Grayson Perry on his recent tapestries for the Israel Philharmonic hosted by Denise Esfandi and Marsha N Lee.
Back in London
Then to 176 where we were installing for our show Troubling Space. Artist Helene Kazan was tweaking her work ready to hang. July 5th is our opening and you are invited to join me.
Back in London
Ellen was already in talks with November Invite artist Ruairiadh O’Connell

Then the Serpentine Party. Yoko Ono work was very 70s and Fluxus, so avant-garde in its time. Now we take her work for granted but she and her contemporaries had definitely moved art and theory forward to a new place. My highlights were meeting Howard Hodgkin who is such a great artist and Herzog de Meuron’s pavilion with the collaboration of Ai Weiwei who cannot leave his beloved China.
