Meanwhile at the König lunch Jeppe Hein was recruiting for his ‘Breathe with Me’ project. He was asking Lizzie to join his studio in painting your own breath. As my lung capacity is only 50 percent, childhood illness, I declined as I was a little embarrassed
At Wentrup Gallery we discovered the work of young artist Louisa Clement, ‘Mork 2’ caught our eye and we decided to add it to the collection
We were welcomed by a very happy Florian Meisenberg, who is about to have his first baby with Anna K. E. who will be representing Georgia in the Venice Biennale
At Functional Art Gallery, run by Javier Peres and his partner Benoît Wolfrom, was some lovely furniture by design duo OrtaMiklos. My girlfriend demonstrates how friendly these works really are!
At Société I’m fascinated by the work in Kaspar Müller’s show ‘Why Always Me?’, his lamps are truly magical
His photographs were just as impressive. Müller approaches the object and image in different ways, his work is very experimental
Loved the new work of Bunny Rogers which will be shown in ‘Statements’ at Art Basel

We admired the obsessive work of Thomas Bayrle at neugerriemschneider. The work consists of a repeated image of a smartphone, to which he proclaimed he never wants to draw/print another one for the rest of his life
At Galerie Neu I wasn’t taken by the works by Jana Euler in ‘Great White Fear’. Basically phallic sharks at the height of ecstasy eyeing you up as you move around the room
I took a lovely visit to Martin-Gropius-Bau and admired the work of Theo Eshetu called ‘Phi Phenomenon’ which was an amalgamation of many ancient sculptures digitally collated. It was a very strong work
I saw for the first time the deconstructed bodies in the work of Mariechen Danz - powerful
The vivacious and imaginative work felt foreign to me, there is much to learn about the artist
I was delight to see Haegue Yang’s ‘Incubation and Exhaustion’, 2018 which included sound, sculpture and wallpaper
The atmosphere was intensely sinister, a mixture of engineering, science and the primitive, surrounded by strange vegetation including flying onions
On our way home we were happy to see Signe Pierce’s review in the German newspaper
