At Rubell Museum there was some wonderful work. We liked the energy of Alexandre Diop, who is Artist in Residence

The Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Room and Narcissus Garden was so much fun and we loved visiting this room of illusions

Hiding in the room of Keith Haring was a lady ready for art, dressed in Keith Haring colours!

I made one more visit to the art fair, where at Jeffrey Deitch was a wonderful Francis Picabia painted in 1942, ‘La blonde au coquelicot’

Great tribute to Olivia Newton-John by Alvaro Barrington at Anton Kern Gallery called ‘Sandy, Sandy, Miami Basel, 2022’. I was tired at this point as there were so many galleries to explore – 260 to be exact!

We escaped to Marfa where we explored the deserted streets in the middle of nowhere

We arrived at the studios through the Darren Almond artwork ‘Inflection Point’

We spent some time in the studios and enjoyed many works by Albert Oehlen

The Chinati Foundation is an incredible organisation. They have a large barn-like building occupied by many John Chamberlain crushed vehicles laid out harmoniously

We visited Christopher Wool’s studio and admired his wonderfully complicated sculptures

In the evening, Albert Oehlen gave us a fascinating lecture about his work

The next day, we visited the Chinati Foundations once again with Toby Ziegler

The huge empty buildings were filled up with box after box made of metal of all different shapes and sizes

We checked out the linear lines of Andre Putman

Roland Augustine investigated the building with Sarah Crowner which felt like an expansive tiled empty swimming pool

Then there was shed after shed filled with Flavin light installations. Marfa was the calm and solid antidote to the chaotic and busy Miami

A wonderful farewell lunch with Grace Weaver, her partner, Tiffany, Toby and Albert; my favourite moment
