The London art world was on fire with incredible work! I visited Hauser & Wirth and was wowed by the work of Avery Singer in this fantastic institutional show. Her paintings were electrifying
Christina Quarles at Pilar Corrias was a formidable way to open the new gallery space
The show was quite magnificent with plenty of space to show Christina’s works on paper
It was a joy to visit Alison Jacques and enjoy Sheila Hicks’ ‘Infinite Potential', a new monumental site specific work
I also enjoyed her many hanging fabric works
I paid a visit to Wanda Koop at her new show in Night Gallery. Her work is lovely and sincere
A real highlight was visiting Stephen Friedman, and this most daring, wonderful sculpture
Outside, I spotted Tatiana Roth and Clara Zevi waiting for a bus
My favourite room was the viewing room where I spotted many gems
It was very exciting to meet Oba Nsugbe from The Yinka Shonibare Foundation
I loved ‘Nick Cave: Power & Cycles’ at Holtermann Fine Art where at the centre was new work titled ‘Chain Reaction’, a 4-metre-tall sculpture comprised of 15 suspended chairs – resin casts of interlocking arms and wrists, taken from the artist’s own body
A fantastic visit to Lisson Gallery and we very much enjoyed the show. I love this work by Ryan Gander of identical twins
