In London after a long time and we get straight into the annual BFAMI gala – this year hosted by Phillips.
Gerry Judah showed us his fabulous artwork and explained the process
As did Sandra Shashou
And Maryam Eisler, her work was which was one of the star lots in the live auction
I loved the work of Ilana Fattal – I am so proud of my girlfriends
Sigalit Laundau donated one of her Dead sea art works which raised a lot of money
Haran Kislev with his lovely ‘Landscape Relics’ which are photographed over time
The co-chairs Poju and Pamela were fantastic - they made magic happen
The calibre of art was great, everyone loved Gili’s curation. So many vibrant and important pieces
A quick visit to Levy Gorvy Dayan to visit Juanita McNeely one of my favourites - so electrically charged and intense. I loved this painting ‘Umbrella Inside’ (1980-2011)
Time for some explorations around town - I headed to Somerset House Studios which is a great space for experimentation.
We visited artist Aziza Kadyri and her G31 exhibition. Her work was incredibly theatrical, technical and immersive, fragmented childhood memories of growing up in Moscow in the 2000s - going back to her Uzbek roots - dealing with her mixed cultural identity.
Her thoughtful and masterful journey through this experience is pushing the envelope in a most sophisticated and skilful way
Finally make it to the Gstaad Yacht club where Simon De Pury tells us some intimate details and fascinating about his life as he launches his new hot edit of TL Magazine
But first we had an audience with Patricia Low and incredible works by Nir Hod – Patricia was dressed to perfection
The detailing of Nir’s work is so beautiful
That night I am reunited with wonderful Joel Mesler we are very happy to see each other
Then the fun begins - MAZE a dynamic art fair in Gstaad. At Thaddaeus Ropac was a wonderful work by Tony Cragg- ‘Stack’ (2024)
Then a very strange caviar invasion of the galleries
Loved at Galerie Nathalie Obadia Mickalene Thomas ‘NUS Exotiques #14’, (2025)
Lovely to see another whacky work by Nuri Koerfer at Lodovico Corsini
