I cannot forget to mention the historic and truly memorable Pauline Karpidas collection sale in Sotheby’s. I loved the three-part work by Grayson Perry ‘Them and Us’

Her wonderful bed by Françoise-Xavier Lalanne flanked by two bedside tables by Mattia Bonetti and above the bed ‘Le Race Blanche’ by René Magritte

I loved the Mattia Bonetti console with a little ‘Lapin Chou’ and an incredible Andy Warhol ‘Madonna and Self Portrait with Skeleton’s Arm (After Munch)’. I had visited her wonderous home in Bayswater many years ago, I can barely recall the list of all I had seen there as the home was so full of art and objects, no corner was unattended

Also this wonderful chest of drawers by Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti with an incredible Victor Brauner painting entitled ‘Dèsymobilisation’ above it

At Stuart Shave Modern Art, Nicolas Deshayes’s intriguing show ‘The Natural World’. This word is called Nude. Next door at Sadie’s was Tau Lewis

Across town at Serpentine is a magnificent show by Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley entitled ‘The Delusion’

She is addressing a single catastrophe event: The ‘Day of Division’ where our future society has broken into closed factions

Carrying on my art explorations I enjoyed this novel way of showing art - a mobile prompter - with all the info! I am introduced to the artist Carol Prusa, by Bluerider Art on Arbermarle street

Mayfair Design District was very interesting - we headed to the Mandarin Oriental and who knew furniture could not be so strange? Marlène Huissoud’s ‘Black Sheep Cocoon Cabinet’ could not be more surreal

Took myself on a wonderful visit to Palmer Gallery where Andy Holden with the help of Grubby Mitts was singing songs about ‘Love in the Misanthropocene’. The presentation is the album as art installations with vinyl available for purchase along with the paintings and videos. Any has made excellent use of AI tools to create the video works. Whereas the songs are very human and emotional. It’s a wonderful effort. Here I am with a (very happy) Andy

I was fascinated by the work by Eleni Zervou at General Assembly and their group show ‘Soft Grip’

An exciting visit to Zwirner where Victor Manns psychologically layered incredibly skilled work is on show

At Gallery Max Hetzler is Danielle Mckinney - her paintings have caught the balance of tension and relaxation. We are loving the titular work ‘Second Wind’

We drop by to visit Stephen Friedman where the intense work of Alexander Diop and his business manager Amir Shariat. He is so young and prolific. He eats to work rather than work to eat!

Hugh Hayden’s show at Lisson was outstanding from the American Flag pictured in different forms

Best moment was heading to the Glenn Brown and Mathew Weir talks at the Freud Museums. Addressing their different approaches to painting

Everyone was fascinated by Mathew Weir’s painting ‘Memory of Symptoms’ where the boy in the picture wears a stream as a tie

In Freud’s study was Glenn Brown ‘The Endogenous Soul’ a lovely painted bronze. Such a stunning pairing and generous exhibition

It’s a beautiful Autumn and the outdoor sculptures in Regents Park - Frieze’s best year ever. A few favourites include ‘Life Rings Fig 3’ by Elmgreen and Dragset

Andy Holden's ‘Anguries (Lament)’ make physical the songs of vanishing birds in sculptural forms. This is calls of a nightingale, cuckoo and crow captured as bronze waveforms installed on salvaged on telegraph poles

And finally Tif and I had a happy moment to see Timur Si Qin’s ‘Last of the Wild and Free’ a unity of ecological awareness and spiritual tradition in the age of technology – perhaps this is made for some time in the future? For surely we are not there yet
