I took a west end gallery tour - at Thaddaeus Ropac was a super show by Ron Mueck I loved his oversized bronze dogs. They were intimidating and scary
The chicken did it for me poor little chick chick
At Zwirner some old favourites by Thomas Ruff took me down memory lane
Then at Sprueth Magers I was mesmerised by Joseph Kosuth ‘Door’ it had so many messages and meanings
Then there was the other side of the door
I was enchanted by the work ‘Dreams’ of Sophie Von Hellerman at Pilar Corrias
So many beautiful works even her infatuation with going to space. ‘Press your Space Face Close to Mine’
Then home and we hosted a very special lunch for JR and Rachel Williams - celebrating Perrotin's London debut - lovely to be around such positivity - Rachel, myself and Peggy Lebeouf ‘she is back - hooray!’
The Perrotin crew on their way back to open up shop
The highlight our hero JR, Lizzie, me and Emmanuel - was so much fun hearing how Emmanuel first showed Damien Hirst, he told us some good stories
Then I am in Florence at the Palace of Strozzi for Tracey’s major solo show… but it has not stopped raining yet – this lone figure at night
The lonesome bed lies there unmade. Loaned by the Faurschou Foundation
My favourite room ‘Those who suffer Love’
Tracey in front of I do not expect to be a mother a very sad and questioning Tapestry
Tracey Oliva Zab and me in front of our recent acquisition
The show was the most powerful and poignant today. Hats off to Tracey
Lovely also to see Thomas J Price work ‘Time Unfolding’ standing proud in Piazza della Signoria in honour of his show at Museo Novecento
