London in The Autumn

The weather was gloomy but everything around me started to sparkle including all of the amazing Christmas lights

Over at White Cube Gilbert & George celebrated their 50th anniversary with ‘THE BEARD PICTURES’. At the opening Alison Myners (ex-chair of ICA) and I were showing off our beards. The duo's use of facial hair acts as a mask representing the facetious world we live in

Then a rare appearance of Roy Zab who was delighted to stand in-between the two most important performance artists in Britain

At last I made it to Lisson Gallery’s show ‘EVERYTHING AT ONCE’ in partnership with The Vinyl Factory at Store Studios. The show’s title is based on a quote from John Cage who described our souls as electronic. There were many lovely works to be seen including Ai Weiwei’s ‘Iron Tree Trunk’, 2015

This light box was very impressive, it felt so real and exhumed so much energy

My favorite was Cory Arcangel’s ‘MIG 29 Soviet Fighter Plane and Clouds’, 2005

I headed to Tate Britain for the Art Now opening, this exhibition series inspired us to create our Invites programme many years ago. Then I sneaked into see Rachel Whiteread’s show all on my own. The show was monolithic and magnificent all at the same time - minimal art at its best. ‘Untitled (Book Corridors)’, 1998 is my favorite work!

Fiorucci Art Trust’s Founder Nicoletta Fiorucci investigated sound waves inside the anechoic chamber of Haroon Mirza / hrm199 at Zabludowicz Collection. She reaches the quasi metaphysical realm of cymatics by investigating sound waves with her quantum alchemy crystal singing bowls. Image courtesy @fiorucciartrust

I had time to visit Megan Piper who is just about to have a baby! She was presenting us with her vision for the extension of The Line in East London, a walk between the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2 . Along the way there are wonderful art works to be discovered from Damien Hirst to Anthony Gormley

Speaking of babies, there are plenty of art babies arriving soon as ZC Director Lizzie Neilson and Alexys Schwartz demonstrated at Alexys’ baby shower
