Then I headed to the Royal College of Art so see the MA and MFA shows. This year felt a particularly strong year. There were some really promising artists such Peter Watkins.
The very strange shapely sculptures of Tian Zhu. Her work is quite brilliant.
Yves Scherer had something about her, one not to be missed.
One of my favourite artists, who is full of potential is Vangeli Moschopoulos.
Mr Essen had created the Essen Kunsthaus in the back of a shed, a very brave attempt.
Kees Van Lankveld work was fascinating, an albino actor dictating a blue alphabet methodically out load to himself.
One artist also not to be missed was Robert Cervera. He’s very experimental using all sorts of materials right down to strawberry jelly.
At the other end of the scale there was a hair raising moment for Tracey Emin and British Art at Christies as her bed rocketed to £2.2m in auction. We were all relieved.
The Serpentine Summer party was its usual big splash with Pharrell Williams singing his heart out to the audience.
