After finding myself in New York, stranded with 600 other planes due to bad weather, I headed to the Brooklyn Museum for their Artists Ball. The building is on par with the architectural beauty and grandeur of Tate Britain.
There was table after table of artists’ installations.

I particularly liked Dustin Yellin's Table

Aleksandar Duravecevic's table was very cool

Jason Miller's table made me hungry

And the beautiful girls Anya Keilar and Sarah VanDerBeek created a lovely display

The architecture in Las Vegas is starting to become incredibly interesting. I enjoyed the City Centre which includes a building by Norman Foster adorned with an enormous Henry Moore sculpture in front.

The new medical centre down town built by Frank Gehry was more than spectacular.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel displayed a spectacular Sam Taylor Wood in the foyer....This was all I could find in Las Vegas apart from a big frog on a waterfall. I think the frog killed it for me.... I have to get some REAL art to Las Vegas this is ridiculous!

Then the fun really began! I was in Los Angeles where the weather was hot and gorgeous. I headed out to the galleries and managed to see so many wonderful things...My first stop was to Honor Fraser and she took me to three amazing studios. The first being Annie Lapin. Her work was experimental and composed to perfection. The colours and perspectives were bouncing off the canvas.

Then to Sarah Cain's lovely studio. Again, the work was full of colour and experimental. A wonderful sense of freedom but at the same time controlled and thoughtful.

Then on to Rosson Crow's, the girl from Dallas, Texas. Her studio was like walking into one of her paintings. She was full of Texan charm and she had a dazzling smile that lit up the world. Her paintings were adorning the large white walls like stage backdrops.

I dropped into see Parker at Parker Jones but sadly I had just missed the Gerald Davis painting show. Then met Tim at Blum & Poe who told me about his up coming summer show curated by Cecilia Alemani. Stuart Krimko at David Kordansky Gallery showed me the work of William E Jones.
