On the Move
First stop is Naples where we celebrated the opening of Thomas Dane Gallery. The new branch of the gallery is in an old traditional space filled with lovely art, such as this site specific work by Kelley Walker. The evening was beautiful and felt like a wedding

Then I was teleported to Hong Kong where I met up with Liam Zab. We found ourselves celebrating David Zwirner gallery’s 25th anniversary with a solo show of Michaël Borremans ‘Fire from the Sun’

Like at Thomas Dane Gallery I felt as though I was at yet another wedding! All the artists had come out to Hong Kong. Neo Rauch was very chuffed as we have his favourite work of his in our Collection

Wolfgang Tillman was on hand to DJ!

My new shoes and I visited the opening of Nicholas Kirkwood’s shop and admired his displays based on Spanish architecture

We visited the galleries which were full of treasures and lovely surprises. I liked most things I saw. We went to Lehmann Maupin where we were met with Alex Prager’s pointing finger – ‘Hand Model (detail)’, 2017

Over at Gagosian Damien Hirst’s ‘Visual Candy and Natural History’ was a contrast to his presentation in Venice last year

Something nasty and rotting in comparison to all the pretty coloured paintings

At White Cube Magnus Plessen might not be an artist I love but his work is still impressive!

At Perrotin we loved the work Izumi Kato

The sculptures were full of spirit and crafted to perfection

Finally I made it to Pearl Lam Galleries where Nick Buckley Woods had curated Kour Pour’s show. His silkscreens were wonderful

A visit to Alan Lo at Duddell’s to view the group show ‘The Preservationists' featuring this super cool Josh Kline

With the help of Nick and sake in my hands I had time to visit a nonprofit space called Prologue - giving us a further picture of the urban remnants of Hong Kong
