Kai loved the Frances Stark's work where she talks about her lived experience as an artist living in LA. This work was about her encounter with Bobby Jesus who became her muse. The story is told in her own language referring to famous rappers as Tupak, Ice Cube and Dr Dre

It was wonderful to spend time with Invites artist Ding Shilun and see his work which was so full of narrative, influenced by Chinese folklore and comics
The weather in London was glorious for September, and we had such a special opening lunch. Lizzie and Paul spoke to the guests about the show. Everyone was very happy and excited

I loved Sarah Lucas’ ‘Happy Gas’ at the Tate. The show was full of humour and femininity. My favourite was the boob chair but sadly it was roped off, so no sitting!
There were wonderful sculptures and wallpaper everywhere. Even Sarah’s wonderful cats showed up! Love this bizarre work of creature in a sofa and another cat
I also went to the Marina Abramovic talk. She is a goddess! Marina spoke about her incredible show which I hope to catch soon!
Then it was time to escape to Naples to see the Catherine Opie residency show at Thomas Dane Gallery, and had such a lovely time with friends
The show in Thomas Dane Gallery was incredible. Wherever you looked there were gems. Leaning within the architectural columns and against the walls were a documentation of the entire wall system around the Vatican City
