Italy for 30 Years of Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo
18 November 2025
A very special trip to Turin to join Agostino, Patricia, Eugenio and Olga celebrating 30 years of the imitable Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation. It was so very exciting - with much to see. Starting with the small bit mighty ‘Bidibidobidiboo’ by Mauricio Cattelan from 1996
There were an abundance of incredible works including a magnificent Sarah Lucas
Doug Aitkin’s awe inspiring jaw dropping multi-screen work was an ambitious show stopper
Great to see old friends such as Janet Cardiff’s film presentation. Sinister and creepy. An interactive diorama play upon a film. Crispy popcorn and whispers over my shoulder
Damián Ortega’s ‘120 Giornate’ (120 Days) quite lovely and delicate
The dinner was so electric and an abundance of shiny tables and twinkling lights reflecting on the dark walls and floor
Lovely pics of me Fatima and Abaseh Mirvali
Then a great moment with Fusun Eczacibasi, Lisa Phillips and Ralph Rugoff
The Mumma is form: Patricia is so happy introducing all her artists with Eugenio and Olga and Phillip Peranno who gave a lovely ventriloquist lamp performance
Many of the artists had something great to say about Patricia including Phillip
This photo gives you the feel factor of the evening full of atmosphere and happiness for such a lovely kind family.
Thank you, wonderful friends - so much hard work and love has gone into your collection and you share it all so generously and graciously
We made a brief stop in Lugano en route and were hosted by Brazilian artist Isabello Cabral. We had a glimpse into her new body of work referencing books.
Books to be reflected upon, decarded and finally burnt to ashes. Dust to Dust.
