Whistlestop

A few days in Las Vegas, LA and one day in New York with just enough time to check a few things out.

First stop CRG Gallery in Chelsea where I stumble across the work of Lisa Sanditz. The ceramics are delightful to the eye.

The painting is equally impressive. Vibrant and lovely.

At Andrea Rosen was the most impressive art work I have ever seen. The David Altmejd work was incredible - a real show stopper.

I would be first in the queue to view this installation.

Casey Kaplan for me was a winner with Kevin Beasley. A future great? Kevin's 52 reel work, 40 hours each, of found sounds from cassettes including one totally silent reel, I thought was of the charts.

A visit to Kika Kardani work at the Journal Gallery in Brooklyn was stunning.

As was the magnificent Per Kirkeby at Michael Werner Gallery at the uptown Park Avenue Armory.

The final icing on the cake was this lovely Frances Stark Instagram work from Gavin Brown's Enterprise, then off to the airport.
