Fred Tomaselli

Predominantly a painter, Fred Tomaselli creates intricate imagery exploring the human condition, the natural world and the daily news. Tomaselli also makes works on paper combining collage and painted imagery, including a series reworking photographs on the front section of The New York Times. The subjects of these newspaper photographs, often depicting contemporary polemics, mutate into strange creatures or dissolve into colourful, psychedelic patterns.
