History Painting: Rose Wylie

The paintings Sailing Boat (2015) and Playing Well (2016) have been selected for Rose Wylie’s first exhibition in the South West of England. This vibrant, multisite showcase across Plymouth Arts Centre and The Gallery at Plymouth College of Art presents many of Rose's more recent works, made between 2015-17. Focusing on the Mayflower voyage along with themes that echo Plymouth’s rich past, her large scale figurative paintings explore the shifting perception of history across the ages.
