Athena Papadopoulos named as one of ArtNet's Exceptional Millennial Artists

Athena Papadopoulus, our first Invites artist of 2015, features in ArtNet's list of exceptional up and coming artists. In the article by ArtNet's Culture Editor Christie Chu, Athena's work is described as 'raw and humorous',connecting with 'different levels of art history such as feminism, Abstract Expressionism, and abject art, without being didactic'. Artists also featured on the list with work in the Zabludowicz Collection include Avery Singer, Yngve Holen and Magali Reus.

Following her Zabludowicz Collection presentation Invites: Athena Papadopoulus, Athena opened her debut solo exhibition Rancho Rat-King-Cougar with Supportico Lopez gallery, Berlin, on 1 May 2015. The exhibition continues until 6 June 2015.
