About

Agnes Questionmark’s multidisciplinary practice spans performance, sculpture, video, and installation. Her work interrogates the limits of identity through genetic experiments, surgical interventions, and artificial reproduction, deliberately unsettling normative conceptions of the self. Engaging with the biopolitics of transgender and transpecies existence, she examines how these forces shape identity, embodiment, and the possibilities of future life.

Through a posthumanist lens, Questionmark positions the body as a site of continual transformation, one that must be engaged ethically and in dialogue with technology and contemporary life. Her durational performances immerse both artist and audience in liminal states where flesh, code, and biology intertwine. In CHM13hTERT (SpazioSERRA, Milan, 2023) and TRANSGENESIS (London, 2021), she inhabits evolving forms that render the body a space of both failure and becoming, anticipating futures of hybridity across bodies, species, and worlds.
