Mark Wayman has in recent years developed a style of site-specific performances that use meticulous memorised descriptions to affect a sense of displacement. While the locations and the details that form the basis of the work may seem inconsequential, the artist's detailed monologues reveal histories that alter our perception of familiar sights.
