Join Daniel F Herrmann (Curator of Special Projects at the National Gallery) as he discusses Rachel Maclean’s work, considering how satire can be used as mode of criticism.

Daniel F Herrmann is Curator of Special Projects at the National Gallery, where he is currently working on Rachel Maclean: In Dialogue with the National Gallery, which opens in November. Prior to this; he was the Eisler Curator and Head of Curatorial Studies at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, where his exhibitions included the Max Mara Art Prize for Women: Emma Hart (2017), Eduardo Paolozzi (2017); The London Open (2015); Hannah Höch (2014); Gillian Wearing (2012) and John Stezaker (2011). Herrmann has also worked as Curator at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, Scotland. He studied Art History and German Literature and Linguistics at the University of Hamburg, Germany.
