Emerging Paradigm, a new site-specific installation by Haroon Mirza, opens this weekend at PIVÔ, Sao Paolo. Composed of four moving image channels and eight channels of electric signals in synchronization, the exhibition will be populated by videos made by the artist during a two month residency in the region. The resulting works are described as reflecting on 'the Brazilian current political climate, the local culture of music, entheogens (plants that have psychedelic properties) and developments in physics and cosmologics'. Emerging Paradigm marks the artist's first major exposure to a Brazilian public. It opens on 2 July and continues until 13 August 2016. For further information please visit the PIVÔ website.

Haroon Mirza has previously collaborated with Zabludowicz Collection on several projects, including An Echo Button, specially commission with Performa, New York, in 2011, and last year's Zabludowicz Collection: 20 Years .
